The costumes for the ballet were designed by Lev Bakst and presented to the public on June 8, 1923 at the Paris Opera. Ida Rubinstein, with whom Bakst has repeatedly worked, was the leading actress. Представленный макет костюма, является одним из подготовительных и более того, одним из первых проектов костюма главной героини для Иды Рубинштейн, выполненный в 1922 году. «Федра» остается до сих пор одной из наименее исследованных постановок Бакста.
